Third Time’s the Charm

Welcome back to the next installment of “Wishful Living with Mavie.”

Today, we find Mavie wishing… for kisses?

Why yes, that is Cute Fireman, whose name, btw, is Alex Chisholm.

As you can see, Mavie and Alex both kind of like each other.

Mavie, especially, seems to be flattered by all the attention Alex has been giving her.

Until she gets shut down every when she wants to kiss him. This happened two nights in a row, too. What’s a girl to do to get a little lip service?

Well, yes, Mavie. I suppose attempting to fix the broken television could work, too… but wouldn’t it just be easier to fall back on the one sure fire method of getting Alex to your house?

All she has to do is sit back and let the fire alarm do it’s thing.

And voila! Alex, the Cute Fireman, to the rescue!

And this time? A stove and a counter to replace. Mavie’s bad luck sure is getting to be expensive!

Since Alex had to rush off to another fire – apparently, Don Lothario burnt the romantic dinner he was trying to cook for his latest conquest girlfriend – Mavie will just have to earn back the money the old fashioned way.

By getting a promotion at work.

Or by rummaging through her neighbor’s garbage???

But no… it’s the same thing. Mavie has been tasked with writing up reports on the goings on of the neighborhood.

Sh decides that dumpster diving is too much work, so she moves on to interviewing random people.

After several such interviews, she has enough intel to sit down and write.

The reports are enough to earn her the promotions needed to replace her scorched kitchen appliances and cabinets.

And the interview with Cherry Kanto also scores Mavie another bene…

… but she automatically rolls a want to return it, so that’s what she did.

So she donated $100 of her hard earned promotion money to the Klepto’s Anonymous organization. A worthy cause.

After a while, Mavie decides that it’s time to ask Alex to move in with her. He’s over to her house more than he’s not and it’s becoming quite lonely without him.

So she asks and he accepts… but he movies in with absolutely no money whatsoever and some interesting traits.

Since he wants to become an Astronaut, Alex promptly quits his job as a firefighter and signs his name on the dotted line for military boot camp.

Mavie doesn’t care what job he has, but the prospect of having an Handy sim on the lot sure does put her mind at ease.

He’s soon on his way to a promotion as a chow line potato peeler and begins building his athletic skills for future promotions.

With both of them earning promotions and sharing the cost of rent and bills, Mavie and Alex soon earn enough money to take a well earned vacation in Europe.

Where Mavie finally earns those kisses she’s been desperate for…

… and then a whole lot more than just kisses.
