Simmer’s Notes: First of all, I’d like to apologize for the longer than usual hiatus. While I was waiting out my graphics card issues, World Adventures came out, and after I installed it, I wanted to wait until I sure that nothing was going to screw up Bella’s neighborhood. Between the threat of blue lots, unplayable hoods, and the Error 16 saving bug, I simply decided not to play Bella until someone (EA or MATY) got it sorted out. So I’ve been playing my Sims 2, instead. The new graphics card did WONDERS for them!
Anyway… I feel pretty confident now that I can go back to playing Bella. Nothing seems to be going wrong in my other hoods, save a little bit of lag.
I’ve done something terrible.
Well, we’ve done something terrible – Mortimer and I, that is. After years of denying ourselves and sticking to our principles, it all just kind of fell apart at the seems.
Mortimer had come over with Trent for Cassandra’s Sweet Sixteen birthday party. My little girl has grown up so fast, it seems. After cake, Trent and Cassie wanted to go to the movies. Mortimer gave them a handful of money and sent them off on their bikes. Told them to hurry home because otherwise, they would miss curfew. Not that the Sunset Valley PD was going to do anything to Mortimer Goth’s son, but he had to make it sound good to them. Set a good example.
Some example… we’ve been lying to his wife for years, to all of our family, in fact.

Watching them ride off together, waving back at us with shouts of ‘Don’t worry! We’ll be good!’ made both Mortimer and I sentimental for the past we could have had. How stupid I had been! I should have gone to him in the first place instead of falling for Cornelia’s threats of blackmail. All of our lives had been wasted because of it.
